The project will be capable of monitoring and autonomously adjusting various vehicle subsystems to achieve
optimal vehicle performance under changing conditions. Utilising AI algorithms, it will autonomously adjust
parameters according to situation and mission, thereby reducing crew workload and enabling them to
concentrate on mission objectives.

The project addresses the need for greater European defence autonomy and superiority by proposing further
enhancements on the beyond line of sight (BLOS) technology.
AktarEUs aims to continue raising the maturity of a European BLOS capability by coming another step closer to
future defence products. The BLOS system will offer system integration on multiple land and naval platforms
with an integrated tactical network, effector management system integration for collaborative close combat
engagement and a dedicated training system. The key objectives are developing an integrated BLOS system in
conditions representative of operational use, enhancing cost-effectiveness and lifecycle efficiency.

SMALL UAS

The Small UAS project will develop an advanced AI-driven swarm system consisting of 10 uncrewed aerial
systems (UAS).
The proposed UAS uses a combination of hydrogen propulsion for two UAS, ensuring long endurance and
environmental sustainability, and hybrid engines with advanced batteries for the remaining eight UAS,
optimizing performance and reducing acoustic signatures for stealth operations. They are specifically designed
for multi-domain operations in air, land, and maritime environments and address critical operational challenges
faced by small UAS, including low signatures, extended operational ranges, autonomy, miniaturization

FIRES 2

FIRES 2

The project will develop a future ammunition family for the European Indirect fire systems. The project will result
in a longer range and higher accuracy capability within the timeframe 2030, offering an artillery projectile with
60km range minimum and circular error probability (CEP) 10m class and a rocket with 150 km range minimum
and CEP 10m class. This will reinforce EU’s independence and competitiveness addressing concurrent markets
by creating cost-effective in-house alternatives based on commonalities and interoperability between existing
and future technology.

TICHE

TICHE will participate in the technological challenge by developing a novel multiplatform collaborative solution to detect and characterize hidden Improvised Explosive Devices (IED) and landmines in complex environments, using a combination of advanced sensors, information fusion from those sensors, and unmanned ground and aerial systems to extend the detection capabilities.

The project aims to define a preliminary concept of operations for a Beyond Line Of Sight (BLOS) European capability and demonstrate it through a full scale firing campaign. The project consists of a land missile system, a turret system to support and set up the missile using an UAV for target designation, a land platform, and an UAV providing a cyber-secured target location.
